I love having the opportunity to photograph people’s lives. Here we have Kate and her baby Lucy. Not only did I photograph Kate and her husband Harper this past summer but I was also honored to be their wedding photographer in May of 2010. Lucy was a ham for the camera, couldn’t ask for a better 4 month old model.
I am lucky enough to escape to Fishers Island every year to enjoy some family time with my cousin Whitney and her incredible kids, dogs, and parents. It seems like every other year I get to see her rockstar of a husband who will drive the dogs and cargo up and back alone so that the kids don’t endure a 16 hour car ride from Atlanta (or maybe it’s the parents who would endure…)
Our visits are always blessed with great weather (fingers crossed it continues), cute kids (fingers crossed again), being ultra-active, amazing sunsets, time at the beach, great deep glasses of wine and this year the most adorable preppy kids dance at one of the country clubs on the island (see below). Stella is the little girl of my sister’s good friend Cath. Cath was my tour guide two of the days during my trip in China. The first day was not documented and was our day to Shenzen- the shopping capital. The second day with Cath was spent exploring the beachside community of Shek-o and it’s neighboring village (I can’t remember it’s name). Photographs from my discoveries in those two locations to follow but here is a collage of Stella and Cath. It was nice playing with Stella while I was so far away from my little peanut but I have to say, it did make me miss her a little bit more. Thanks to Cath and Stella for being such stellar tour guides!
